Assessments will be used in this program to measure the baseline and growth of the students. High school students’ results will include cognitive, behavioral and communication styles, soft skills, motivators, strengths, and social-emotional indicators, which can all be used to help to guide minorities to their best-matched STEM field.
2. Virtual Reality Educational Gaming Platform
The gaming aspects leverage the “cool” factor of video games, while the science-based interventions provide opportunities for learning. The state-of-the-art VR programs will be self-paced and students will progress based on their knowledge gained on each level. Students will have access to instructional videos for each level. Data Analytics we will measure competency levels of each student along others skills, such as graduation rates. In addition, we want students to gain the necessary skills to meet and exceed state and federal standardized testing in math and science now and in the future.
3. Virtual Reality Community
The virtual community is where students can foster relationships while learning teamwork and collaboration skills. Students will earn badges and rewards for helping their peers through the program.
4. Workforce Development
Provide the students with training such as resume writing, interview skills, and other soft skills needed to prepare them to enter apprenticeship programs, internships, or entry level jobs in cyber security and coding.
