Diversity is the collective difference among us which includes age, gender, LGBTQ, culture, socioeconomic status, education, etc. Inclusion is the practice of making room for, and involving those differences within a specific group. Diversity is a competitive differentiator that shifts market share toward more diverse companies over time. Given the higher returns that diversity is expected to bring, it is better for organizations to invest now since winners will pull further ahead and laggards will fall further behind. Spark Mindset’s goals are to help companies maximize their diversity by creating a culture of inclusion while providing a pipeline to a diverse workforce.

Diversity and Inclusion

A culture of inclusion fosters an environment that is willing to take risks, push boundaries, and attain new collective heights, simply because all people and all ideas are deemed valuable. A Forbes Insights study surveying 321 companies with more than $500 million in revenue found that 85 percent agreed or strongly agreed that diversity is key to driving workplace innovation. Deloitte surveyed 245 global organizations for the research, two-thirds of which had more than 5,000 employees. Although 71% of these organizations aspire to have inclusive cultures, only 12% meet that goal. Let us help you create a culture of inclusion.
